Pfeiffer's Tiffany Bartholomew Shines at First Swim Meet of 2019

Misenheimer, N.C. (Jan. 12, 2019) – Pfeiffer University junior swimmer Tiffany Bartholomew won the 50-yard freestyle as the Falcons hosted UNC Pembroke and Converse in a tri-meet at the Merner Gym pool on Saturday afternoon.

Bartholomew, a Raleigh product, finished with a time of 26.05 in the 50-freestyle, outdistancing Converse swimmer Olivia Trent, who finished in second place.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Bartholomew posted a second-place finish with a 57.58 and also brought a third-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a 1:15.78.

Pfeiffer also had a great outing in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with the team of Samira Wolf, Jordan Petschelt, Natalia Gutierrez and Gina Myers posting a third-place finish with a 1:57.96.

The Pfeiffer swim team will host their second meet of the new year next Saturday, Jan. 19 at 1:00 p.m. against Columbia College.
