Pfeiffer Women's Swimming Takes Senior Day Win Over Warren Wilson
Albemarle, N.C. (Jan. 28, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University women's swimming team took a 102-42 Senor Day win over visiting Warren Wilson College on Saturday afternoon in the Thomas J. Kean Aquatic Center at the Stanly Family YMCA.
The Falcon swimmers took first place finishes in nine of the 10 events to dominate the meet.
Pfeiffer started off the day by taking the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 2:17.16.
Junior
Elithe Hudson (New London, N.C.) then claimed 1
st in the 500-yard freestyle. She also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle and finished in second-place behind senior
Nyah Hines (Randallstown, Md.) in the 100-yard backstroke. Hines won that even with a 1:16.76
Senior
Kara Robertson (Cookeville, Tenn.) won the 200-yard individual medley over Hines by clocking a 2:42.49.
Madison Lynthacum (Mt. Gilead, N.C.) claimed two individual wins in the 50-yard freestyle (30.22) and the 100-yard freestyle (1:07.84). Lynthacum also swam anchor on the 200-yard medley relay team that claimed first place (2:17.16) and started the 200-yard freestyle relay that also came in first place with a 2:04.22
Rounding out the first-place finishers for Pfeiffer was freshman
Allison Trull in the 100-yard breaststroke, as she posted a time of 1:26.47.
Pfeiffer will close the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 4 with a meet at Salem College in Winston-Salem. The Falcons will take on the host Spirits as well as Guilford College.
