Box Score 2 Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Earns 15-11 Win at Brevard
Brevard, N.C. (March 2, 2019) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team earned a 15-11 win at Brevard on Saturday afternoon.

Senior John Allen scored six goals while Luke Cox had three goals and a team-best two assists. Spencer Stokes also scored three goals and added two assists in the win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
After spotting Brevard a 1-0 lead, John Allen scored the first Pfeiffer goal at the 12:07 mark. Less that a minute later, Jared Nelson gave Pfeiffer the lead they would not relinquish. Allen added another goal at 10:30 remaining while Ben Zahorec scored with 7:24 left. Spencer Stokes added a goal with 6:24 to go, giving the Falcons a 5-3 lead after the first quarter
Second Quarter
After Brevard closed to 5-4, Allen scored again on an assist from Nelson. Brevard scored again, but Treven King and Stokes scored back-to-back goals to go up 8-5. Brevard then scored three straight to tie the game at 8-8, but Allen scored just 33 seconds before halftime to give the Falcons the 9-8 lead at the break.
Third Quarter
Luke Cox and Spencer Stokes scored two goals to open the third quarter, with Stokes' tally being a man-up goal. Brevard closed to 11-9 with a goal, but Allen received a pass from Cox to net his fourth tally of the afternoon, putting Pfeiffer up 12-9.
Fourth Quarter
Pfeiffer scored two goals to open the fourth quarter, with Cox and Allen coming away with the goals at the 8:46 mark and 6:47 mark, respectively.
Brevard scored at 4:25 to pull to 14-10, but Cox put Pfeiffer up 15-10 with a goal with just 2:31 remaining. Brevard closed the scoring at 1:12 to provide the 15-11 final.
