Cayci Eaton (Harrisburg, N.C.) opened the scoring in the second half with the first goal of the match in the 70
th minute. Eaton's goal, her second of the season, was from five yards out.
Averett got the equalizer in the 80
th minute when Celia de Diego converted a penalty kick.
Neither team would be able to score the rest of regulation or throughout the two overtime periods.
Pfeiffer's
Britney Levy (Eustis, Fla.) had eight saves in goal while Morganne Dills, her Averett counterpart had five saves in the match.
