Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 19, 2021) – Visiting William Peace University downed Pfeiffer University by a 3-1 score in a USA South volleyball matchup at Merner Gym on Tuesday evening.

Junior Reagan Wyatt (Stoneville, N.C.) and freshman Anya Parker (Fort Mill, S.C.) each had 10 kills to pace the Falcons in the loss.  Wyatt hit for a .318 percentage while Parker returned a .474.

Junior Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) hit for a .231 percentage while knocking down eight kills.

As a team, Pfeiffer came away with a .177 hitting percentage

Defensively, Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) led the way with 11 digs while teammate Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) had 10 in the loss.  Parker had a good night at the net, as she finished with five block assists to lead Pfeiffer.

For William Peace, Shelby Cooper and Hannah Collier each finished with a match-best 16 kills.

The Falcons will return to USA South play this upcoming weekend when they take part in a USA South tri-match at Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C.  Pfeiffer will take on the host Angels at Noon and will follow that with a 2:00 p.m. neutral site match with rival Greensboro College.
