Pfeiffer Seniors Shine in 3-0 Women's Soccer Win Over Mary Baldwin

Pfeiffer University women's soccer seniors stole the show on Saturday afternoon in claiming a 3-0 win over visiting Mary Baldwin in the season finale at a beautiful afternoon at Lefko Field.

Dayanna Riera (Bronx, N.Y.) put Pfeiffer on the board at 40:45 after sophomore
Chloe Johnson (Rock Hill, S.C.) slipped a pass to her through a pair of MBU defenders. Riera beat MBU goalkeeper Nyasia Hawkins to the wide side of the goal for the 1-0 lead and her 11
th career goal.
In the second half, senior
Morgan Cecil (St. Cloud, Fla.) earned a penalty kick at 55:00. Cecil's shot was stopped by MBU goalkeeper Maddie Vinson, who started the second half. The hard shot rebounded to the left of the keeper where Cecil finished into the goal, scoring her first career goal to put Pfeiffer up 2-0.
Pfeiffer was not finished, as senior
Jessica Vazquez (High Point, N.C.) supplied her sixth career helper at 81:08 to freshman
Julia Hayes (Waxhaw, N.C.) to provide the 3-0 final.
Senior goalkeeper
Britney Levy (Eustis, Fla.) earned her first career shutout while making six saves.
