Pfeiffer Women's Swimming Splits Dual Meets With Converse & Columbia
Spartanburg, S.C. (Oct. 23, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University women's swimming team split a pair of dual meets, falling to host Converse University, 128-48 and winning over Columbia College 64-60 on Saturday in Spartanburg, S.C.
Seventeen swims resulted in eight lifetime bests and two season-best times. Â
The meet started off strong with
Kara Robertson (Cookeville, Tenn.) splitting a lifetime best of 37.80 in the breaststroke leg of the 200-yard medley relay. Â
Elithe Hudson (Albemarle, N.C.) competed in the 1650-yard freestyle for the first time in her collegiate career and returned a personal best 500-yard time by one second (7:11). Later, set her own 500-yard freestyle event by posting a 7:02.
Senior
Ada McClendon (Kingwood, Texas) led the 50-yard freestyle from start to finish, placing first while freshman
Madison Lynthacum (Mt. Gilead, N.C.) finished third with times of 30.37 and 32.21, respectively.
Aniyah Fargis (Fayetteville, N.C.) swam well and dropped 12 seconds from her lifetime best in the 100-yard freestyle with a 1:33.84. Robertson set a personal best en route to an exciting second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking a 1:23.58.
