Pfeiffer Volleyball Splits A Pair of Matches on Senior Day
Misenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 30, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team split a pair of USA South matches, downing Mary Baldwin and falling in a tough match to Southern Virginia during a league quad-match on Saturday at Merner Gym. Prior to the final match of the day, Pfeiffer honored seniors

Reagan Wyatt (Stoneville, N.C.) had a team-high 11 kills while hitting for a .588 percentage. Freshman
Kylee Mayberry (Harmony, N.C.) delivered 33 assists.Â
Emma Gray Beacham (Laurinburg, N.C.) and
Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) both achieved double-digit digs, with Beacham going for 18 and Shrader finishing with 10.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE – Pfeiffer vs. Southern Virginia
After falling behind 2-0, Pfeiffer stormed back in taking the third and fourth sets to force the deciding fifth frame. The Falcons took the visiting Knights the distance, eventually falling by the 15-11 score in the final set.
Freshman
Anya Parker (Fort Mill, S.C.) had 21 kills to lead Pfeiffer while Shrader had 13 and junior
Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) had 10 kills.
Mayberry ended with 46 assists in the match while Beacham and Shrader led the way with 21 and 14 digs, respectively.

Pfeiffer finishes the regular season and earns the No. 5 seed from the USA South East Division in the upcoming USA South Volleyball Tournament.
Pfeiffer will take on No. 4 seeded Averett University on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at 5:00 p.m. The match will be hosted by top-seeded Southern Virginia. The Pfeiffer/Averett winner will advance to take on SVU at 7:30 p.m., also on Nov. 2.
