Box Score Jared Nelson Posts 400th Career Point in Pfeiffer's 25-4 Win over Averett
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 10, 2021) – Pfeiffer senior Jared Nelson got his 400th career point as Pfeiffer University had no trouble with visiting Averett University in a 25-4 USA South win at Lefko Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pfeiffer scored the first nine goals of the game before Averett posted their first score at the 4:13 mark of the first quarter. Over the scoring span for Pfeiffer, five different players scored for the Falcons.
Nelson got his 400th career point in the second quarter at 10:02 when he supplied an assist on a man-up goal from senior John Allen (Lebanon, Ohio), which made the score 16-1.
After leading 20-2 at halftime, Pfeiffer got another Allen goal and two from Peter Donahue (Cary, N.C.) in the third quarter to push the lead to 23-2.
Averett's Mike Michaud opened the fourth quarter scoring to make it 23-3. Pfeiffer goals from Mike Turner (Columbia, Md.) and Matt Scriven (Fort Mill, S.C.) capped the Falcon scoring while Averett's Tyler Moodie scored with 54 seconds left to provide the 25-4 final.
All told, Pfeiffer outshot the Cougars 55-25.
Allen led the way for Pfeiffer by scoring eight goals and dishing a pair of assists. Quinn Becraft (Huntersville, N.C.) added three goals and four assists while Nelson finished with four goals and seven assists. Trevin King (Apex, N.C.) also had a pair of goals and assists in the win.
