Box Score Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Wins Eighth-Straight
Fayetteville, N.C. (April 17, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team won their eighth straight game with a 27-12 road win at Methodist on Saturday afternoon. The eight consecutive wins matches the school record for consecutive victories set by the 1994 Pfeiffer team.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After spotting Methodist the early 1-0 lead, Pfeiffer erupted, scoring 14 unanswered goals to take the 14-1 lead following a Quinn Becraft goal from an assist by John Allen at the 7:41 mark of the second quarter. Methodist the scored on a man-up opportunity to make it 14-2, but Pfeifer responded with a man-up goal from Corey Choberka to lead 15-2.
The teams the scored a pair of goals each to close the quarter, with Pfeiffer taking the commanding 17-4 lead into halftime.
Pfeiffer then outscored Methodist 8-3 in the third quarter to lead 25-7 after the third.
Brayden Sokolowski then scored Pfeiffer's pair of goals in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring, with Pfeiffer winning 27-12.
Inside the Box Score
Senior Jared Nelson had 15 points on the afternoon, scoring six times while providing nine assists. The 15 points in a single game ties the school record held by Kevin Iwanusa and Gregg Gebbard. Nelson also achieved the 15-point feat in 2018.
Corey Choberka had a team-best seven goals while Quinn Becraft finished with six scores. John Allen continued to set the Pfeiffer goal scoring career record, as he added five more scores to his credit while dishing a pair of assists.
Trevin King also scored once for Pfeiffer.
Tucker Hill was dominant on face-offs, as he went 19-of-27 and corralled a team-best 14 ground balls.
