Pfeiffer Volleyball Earns 3-2 Road Win at Carolina University

Winston-Salem, N.C. (Sept. 17, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University volleyball team, playing in their first road match of the season, earned a 3-2 win over Carolina University on Thursday night at Williams Gymnasium

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
Pfeiffer's Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) and Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) each managed double-digit kill performances with Honeycutt leading the way with 13 while Shrader had 10.  Shrader also had 16 digs on the match.

As a team, Pfeiffer forced the Bruins into 23 errors and had 16 block assists, with freshman Anya Parker (Fort Mill, S.C.) and junior Reagan Wyatt (Stoneville, N.C.) each managing six.  Wyatt also had one solo block in the win.

Emma Gray Beacham, a graduate student from Laurinburg, N.C., led the Falcons with 19 digs.  She also had a pair of aces, giving her 100 career aces, a mark that moves her into fifth place in the all-time record book in career aces.  With her 19 digs, she moves to 1,212 career digs, which puts her in third-place all-time.

Pfeiffer opens USA South play on Saturday, Sept. 18 with a trip to Brevard, N.C. to take part in the USA South Crossover Event.

The Falcons will take on the host Tornados at 3:30 p.m. followed by a 5:30 p.m. match with Maryville College.  All matches will be held at Boshamer Gymnasium on the Brevard College campus.
