Pfeiffer Volleyball Drops a Pair of USA South Matches on Senior Day

Visiting Meredith hit for a .374 percentage and got 14 kills from Emma Duncan in downing Pfeiffer, 3-0. The Falcons got a team-best six kills from
Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) while freshman teammate
Faith Miller (Clover, S.C.) had five.
Pfeiffer vs. Salem
Prior to the match, Pfeiffer recognized the four seniors who were playing in the final home contest. Visiting Salem then jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with a 27-25 win in set one and a 25-13 win in set two.
The Falcons battled back to take set three by a 25-22 score, but Salem would close the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.
Senior
Madison Honeycutt (Arroyo Grande, Cal.) had a match-best 17 kills to go along with a 10-kill outing from freshman
Madison Tate (Lexington, N.C.) and a nine-kill performance from senior
Mattie Burris (Misenheimer, N.C.). Tate and Burris also had a pair of blocks each in the setback.

Pfeiffer completed the regular season with a  5-13 mark in USA South play and have earned the No. 8 seed in the upcoming USA South volleyball tournament.
The Falcons will travel to top-seeded Southern Virginia on Tuesday, Nov. 2 for the first round.
