Pfeiffer Women Drops Season Opener to Berea College
Decatur, Ga. (Nov. 12, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University women's basketball team opened the 2022-23 season with a 66-45 setback to Berea College at the Agnes Scott College Tip-Off Classic.
Pfeiffer sophomore
Tanaesha Ellison (Asheboro, N.C.) paced the Falcons by scoring a career-high 20 points. Ellison would go 3-of-4 from long range and 7-of-9 from the foul line. Overall, she was 5-of-12 from the field, had six rebounds to go along with a pair of assists.
Jahlea Peters (Hickory, N.C.) would get five points for Pfeiffer, finishing 2-of-6 from the field with one three-pointer
As a team, Pfeiffer finished 13-of-48 from the field (27.1%) and 5-of-15 (33.3%) from beyond the arc. Both teams also managed 46 rebounds.
The Falcons will have a short turnaround, as they will take on host Agnes Scott on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
