Pfeiffer Women's Basketball Falls to Bob Jones in Home Opener
Misenheimer, N.C. (Nov. 15, 2022) – Visiting Bob Jones University had four players in double-figures and shot 41% from the field in a 72-69 women's basketball win over Pfeiffer University on Tuesday night in Merner Gym.
The Bruins' Tamrah Konieczka and Ainsley Hutton scored 14 point each to the lead the Bruins while Bethany Daulton and Shea Dickinson had 13 each in the win. Dickinson also had 16 rebounds to secure the double-double.
Pfeiffer shot for a 32.9% clip on a 25-of-76 outing. Freshman
Hannah Isley (China Grove, N.C.) had a team and a career-high 13 points on the night. Isley hit three from long range and finished the game going 4-of-9 from the field while bringing down a team-best seven rebounds.
The sophomore duo of
Jahlea Peters (Hickory, N.C.) and
Tanaesha Ellison (Asheboro, N.C.) had 12 and 11 points, respectively while freshman
Miya Horton (Lenoir, N.C.) finished with 10 points, as she was 4-of-5 from the field.
Pfeiffer falls to 2-2 on the season while Bob Jones picks up their first win, improving to 1-3.
The Falcons will return to play on Friday, Nov. 18 when they open USA South play at 6:00 p.m. when they face of with Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C.
