Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Takes 5-4 Win at Hampden-Sydney
Hampden-Sydney, Va. (Feb. 25, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team took three singles matches and two doubles matches in a close 5-4 win at Hampden-Sydney College on Saturday.

With the match tied at 4-4, Pfeiffer's
Aleix Garrido (Catalunya, Spain) won his match at No. 5 singles over HS-C's Taylor Fox, 7-6, 6-3 to clinch the 5-4 win for the Falcons
In other singles competition,
Alec Taylor (Mooresville, N.C.) downed Frank Borden 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 while
Andres Valdez-Arze (Bogota, Bolivia) won at No. 4, 6-2, 6-1.
Pfeiffer took two of the three doubles points, with Garrido and Valdez-Arce winning at No. 2 by an 8-6 score while Taylor and
Phillip Conaway (Sharpsburg, Ga.) won at No. 3, also by an identical 8-6 score.
BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer's match on Sunday, Feb. 27 against Brevard has been postponed due to anticipated poor weather. The Falcons will turn their attention to their USA South opener, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2 at Southern Virginia.
