Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Takes 8-1 Win Over Roanoke College
Hilton Head, S.C. (March 10, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team had little trouble with Roanoke College in an 8-1 win in Hilton Head, S.C.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer took two of the three contested doubles matches and swept all six singles matches to run their record to 6-3 on the season with an 8-1 win over Roanoke.
In singles play,
Alec Taylor gutted through the longest match of the day at No. 3, winning by a 5-7, 6-2, 10-2 score. All other Falcon singles matches were won in straight sets. Freshman
Andres Valdez-Arze continued his great play with an 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. At No. 1 singles,
Benedikt Pfeiffer won by identical, 6-1, 6-1 scores.
Dylan Masters managed a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3 while
Aleix Garrido and
Phillip Conaway won their matches at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively.
In doubles, Pfeiffer and Masters took and east 8-1 win at No. 1 while Garrido and Valdez-Arze won at No. 2 by an 8-2 count. The lone point for Roanoke came with a win at No. 3 doubles, where Dalton Capobianco and Hunter Adams took a hard-fought 8-5 win over Taylor and Conaway.

Pfeiffer will next play at Johnson & Wales University in a nonconference match on Wednesday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Charlotte, N.C.
