Box Score 1 Pfeiffer Softball Wins Over Johnson C. Smith

Charlotte, N.C. (March 11, 2022) – Visiting Pfeiffer University was too much for Division II Johnson C. Smith, as the Falcons took a 13-4 win in six innings over the Golden Bulls on Friday afternoon at Biddleville Park in Charlotte, N.C.

How it Happened – Game 1
Pfeiffer's Kyndell Warren went 2-of-4 and had three RBI to lead Pfeiffer.  She belted her first home run of the season in the second inning to put Pfeiffer up 6-0.  She later provided a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to provide the eventual 13-4 final.

Freshman Gracie Griffin also had a good day, going 3-of-3 from the plate with a pair of RBI.

Senior Caiti Mickles earned the pitching win for Pfeiffer by throwing three complete innings, allowing two hits and striking out four JCSU batters.  Taylor Parrish also saw action in the circle, as she threw three innings and struck out six.

Game 2
With Pfeiffer leading 13-0 in the top of the inning, the game was halted.  The two teams will work to see if the game will be completed.

Pfeiffer will return to Misenheimer to host Ithaca College in a doubleheader on March 16.  First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Jack Ingram Field.
