Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Sweeps William Peace in Season Finale, 9-0
Raleigh, N.C. (April 20, 2022) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team closed their season with a 9-0 road sweep of William Peace University in Raleigh, N.C. on Tuesday night.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer had little trouble with the host Pacers, sweeping the doubles matches. At No. 2, the team of
Aleix Garrido and
Andres Valdez-Arze won easily, 8-0 over Patrick Buckler and Daniel Hildago.Â
Alec Taylor and
Justin Giesbrecht also won their doubles match at No. 3 by an 8-0 score. At No. 1, Benedict Pfeiffer and
Dylan Masters captured the match by winning 8-1.
In singles play, all six matches were decided in straight sets.Â
Phillip Conaway (No.6), Valdez-Arze (No. 4) and Taylor (No. 3) won by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores.
Garrido also won his match at No. 5 with relative ease by a 6-0, 6-2 final.
Pfeiffer and Masters also won their matches at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, with Pfeiffer claiming a 6-0, 6-1 win and Masters taking a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
Pfeiffer completes their season with a 10-7 overall record and a 3-4 mark in USA South play.
