Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Gets 1-0 Road Win at Mary Baldwin

Staunton, Va. (Oct. 21, 2023) -- The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team earned a 1-0 shutout win at Mary Baldwin University on Saturday afternoon at SMA Worth Field.

Pfeiffer improved to 7-6-1 overall and 3-3-0 in USA South play after the victory.  The loss drops Mary Baldwin to 1-13 overall and 1-4 in leage play.

How it Happened

Pfeiffer graduate student Nico Soriano provided the only goal of the game and his first of the season in the 76th minute on an assist by freshman Alex Michael. 

The Pfeiffer defense limited MBU to just two shots on the win, with none being on goal.

Up Next
Pfeiffer will return to Lefko Field on Saturday, Oct. 28 for their final home game of the regular season.  Kickoff against Southern Virginia is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
