Pfeiffer Falls 88-60 at The Citadel

CHARLESTON, S.C. (Dec. 5, 2023) --The Pfeiffer men's basketball team got a 28-point .performance from the bench, but fell 88-60 to The Citadel Bulldogs on the road Tuesday at McAlister Field House in Charleston, S.C.

The Falcons (2-3) had three players score in double figures, led by Daymon Beckwith, who had 13 points. Alex Cunningham tacked on 12 points from the bench and Clayton Robinson chipped in as well with 10 points and six rebounds.

Robinson pulled down two offensive rebounds to lead the Pfeiffer offense which grabbed 10 boards and turned them into 10 second chance points.

Pfeiffer forced 14 Citadel turnovers. The Falcons turned those takeaways into 16 points on the offensive end of the floor. Kendall Matthews led the way individually with one steal.

How It Happened

Pfeiffer struggled out of the gate, falling behind 43-21 heading into halftime.

Pfeiffer could not pull any closer in the second half, losing by a final of 88-60. Pfeiffer capitalized on six Bulldog turnovers in the period, collecting 12 points off those turnovers.
