Pfeiffer Women's Basketball Falls on the Road at Greensboro
Greensboro, N.C. (Feb. 1, 2023) – Visiting Pfeiffer University dropped a 96-71 USA South road game to league-leading Greensboro College at Hanes Gym on Saturday afternoon.

Greensboro used a big fourth quarter, outscoring Pfeiffer 30-13 in the final frame. Greensboro put together a 17-4 run to begin the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach for the Falcons
Individual Leaders
- Sophomore Tanaesha Ellison (Asheboro, N.C.) led Pfeiffer with 22 points and eight rebounds in the loss. Ellison finished 5-of-15 from the field,and was 10-of-14 from the free throw line.
- Freshman Miya Horton (Lenoir, N.C.) had 15 points and eight rebounds. She also had a pair off assists and four steals in the loss.
- Sophomore Alexis Bynum (Charlotte, N.C.) finished with 12 points while freshman Hannah Isley (China Grove, N.C.) had 10 points and four rebounds.
- Greensboro outscored Pfeiffer 21-8 in second chance points and led 26-13 in fast break opportunities.
- Greensboro finished the day with a 41.3% (31-of-75) shooting percentage compared to Pfeiffer's 22-of-61 (36.1%) outing.
- The team's combined to shoot 61 free throws. Pfeiffer was 21-of-31 (67.7%) while Greensboro finished 28-of-30 (93.3%)
