Pfeiffer Men's Basketball Gets 86-76 Road Win at Methodist
Fayetteville, N.C. (Feb. 15, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University men's basketball team snapped a five-game skid with an 86-76 road win at Methodist University on Wednesday night.

How It Happened
Pfeiffer shot 56.9% (33-of-58) from the field and hit nine three-pointers on the night. The Falcons were able to jump out to an early 20-6 lead and never trailed again, eventually building their lead to as many as 24 points (65-41) at the 13:33 mark of the second half.
Methodist was never able to cut the Falcon lead to less than 10 points the rest of the way.
Individual Leaders
- Daymon Beckwith (Jacksonville, N.C.) led all Pfeiffer scorers with 20 points on an 8-of-10 effort from the floor that included three from long range. He also had four rebounds and an assist.
- Sophomore Daniel Fulp (Winston-Salem, N.C.) had 17 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Fulp finished 7-of-10 from the field and was 3-of-6 from the free throw line. He also had a pair of assists.
- M.J. Armstrong (Gastonia, N.C.) returned after missing the last two games, scoring 16 points and grabbing six rebounds. Armstrong was 6-of-11 from the field.
- Senior Taylan Rowe (Oakboro, N.C.) and junior teammate Rashamel Butler (Ridgeland, S.C.) finished with 12 and 11 points, respectively, with both hitting a pair of three-pointers each in the win.

Pfeiffer will return home to Merner Gym for their final regular season game of the season on Saturday, Feb. 18 when they host rival Greensboro College in Merner Gym for Senior Day.
