Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Edged By Piedmont, 5-4

Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 18, 2023)– Visiting Piedmont University took a narrow 5-4 men's tennis win over Pfeiffer University on a chilly Saturday morning at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Piedmont's Y. Wassmer Navarro won a three-set marathon over the Falcons' Benedikt Pfeiffer, 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 in the final match of the day to take the 5-4 team win over Pfeiffer.

The Pfeiffer duo of Aleix Garrido and Andres Valdez-Arze took their No. 2 doubles match by an 8-4 score in the only point in doubles play.

In singles play, Pfeiffer got wins at No. 2 (Dylan Masters), No. 3 (Michael Haranczyk), and at No. 5 (Bogdan Stan).

Pfeiffer will return to play on March 3 with a home match with Penn State Behrend at 5:00 p.m.
