Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Wins Big at Ferrum, 23-7
Ferrum, Va. (March 1, 2023) – Despite homestanding Ferrum College scoring three of the first four goals fo the game, the Pfeiffer men's lacrosse team recovered and throttled the host Panthers 23-7 in the first game of the Blue Ridge Classic on Wednesday night, remaining unbeaten on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Ferrum had eyes on defending their home turf, as they jumped out to an early 3-1 lead in the first quarter.
Pfeiffer then reeled off 14 unanswered goals  in the first and second quarters to take the 15-3 lead.
The Panthers did trum the Pfeiffer lead to 15-5, but another pair of Falcon scores made it 17-5 at the 12:42 mark of the fourth quarter.
Leading 18-7 with 4:35 remaining, Pfeiffer then rallied to score the final five goals of the game to provide the 23-7 final.
Inside the Box Score
Pfeiffer had 11 players score in the game and 16 players recorded points in the game. The Falcons got a team-best five goals each from J.P Galloway and
Zach DeFazio. Junior
Quinn Becraft scored four goals and is inching his way towards the Pfeiffer all-time goal scoring record. Becraft currently stands second in program history in career goals, just 27 scores shy of tying the program record.
Dylan Bryson also notched a pair while eight different Falcon players scored one goal each.
Defensively,
Nate Woodhill earned the win in goal for Pfeiffer, as he made five saves on the night. Teammate
Jason Rowland also had three saves in the win.

Pfeiffer will return to Ferrum on Sunday, March 5 to play in the Blue Ridge Classic Championship game at 1:00 p.m.
The Falcons will face the winner of the March 4 game between Muskingum and Moravian.
