Transylvania struck first in the third inning after getting an RBI double to go ahead 1-1.

In the sixth inning, Pfeiffer's
Caiti Mickles (Boonville, N.C.) drew a leadoff walk and advanced to second on a
Gracie Griffin (Calabash, N.C.) single. Following a fielder's choice that put Falcon runners on the corners, a pop-up ended the Pfeiffer threat.
In the Pfeiffer seventh,
Jaci Cook (Waynesville, N.C.) smacked a one-out double to get into scoring position, but a ground out and a fly out to center field ended the game, with Transylvania taking the 2-1 win.
