How it Happened
Transylvania struck first in the third inning after getting an RBI double to go ahead 1-1.

Pfeiffer's Gretchen Wolpert (Ambler, Pa.) would tie the game at 1-1 with an RBI double that scored Charly Cooper (Bullock, N.C.) in the fifth inning.

The Pioneers would grab the 2-1 lead in the sixth on an RBI single that would prove to be the difference,

In the sixth inning, Pfeiffer's Caiti Mickles (Boonville, N.C.) drew a leadoff walk and advanced to second on a Gracie Griffin (Calabash, N.C.) single.  Following a fielder's choice that put Falcon runners on the corners, a pop-up ended the Pfeiffer threat.

In the Pfeiffer seventh, Jaci Cook (Waynesville, N.C.) smacked a one-out double to get into scoring position, but a ground out and a fly out to center field ended the game, with Transylvania taking the 2-1 win.
