Roanoke Downs Pfeiffer Baseball 12-4
Salem, Va. (March 21, 2023) – Roanoke College scored eight runs in the first inning en route to a 12-4 nonconference baseball win over Pfeiffer University on Tuesday afternoon.
The Basics
After Pfeiffer's
Christian Ezzell put the Falcons up 1-0 in the first inning, the Maroons plated eight runs in the bottom of the first to take the commanding 8-1 lead.
Pfeiffer got three runs back to pull to 8-4 in the second inning on a two-RBI single rom Corey Lackey followed by a sacrifice fly from
Zach Ferrell.
Roanoke then went up 10-4 on a two-RBI single in the third inning and then got single runs in the fifth and sixth innings to provide the eventual 12-4 final.
