Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse Pounds LaGrange, 24=8
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 22, 2023)– The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team closed out their regular season home schedule in grand fashion by pounding visiting LaGrange 24-8 in a USA South game on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Pfeiffer scored five goals in the first quarter and never looked back in taking the 24-3 home win. After being tied 1-1 in the early goings, the Falcons scored eight straight goals to take the commanding 9-1 lead. Following a LaGrange man-up goal at 3:42 of the second quarter, the Falcons responded with a pair of scores to take the 11-2 halftime lead.

Tucker Hill goal started things off in the third quarter, putting the Falcons up 12-2. Pfeiffer would go on to score five more goals in the third quarter to carry the 17-5 lead into the final frame.
In the fourth quarter, Pfeiffer would outscore the Panthers 7-3 to take the lopsided 24-8 win.
Inside the Box Score
J.P Galloway and Jesse Ondrake each had five goals, as 12 different Falcons found the back of the Panther net on the afternoon.Â
Quinn Becraft managed three goals and one assist while
Zach DeFazio also scored three times in the win.
Faceoff specials
Tucker Hill had one goal and five ground balls and was also 11-of-12 on faceoffs.Â

The Falcon goalkeepers were stellar in net, with
Nate Woodhill earning the win after making four saves.Â
Jason Rowland had three saves on the afternoon.Â
Aiden Cox also saw action in goal for Pfeiffer, but did not face any Panther shots.

Pfeiffer has completed the regular season portion of their schedule and will await the seedings for the upcoming USA South Tournament, which will be held on campus sites on May 2 and on May 5-6.
