Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Blanks Brevard, 9-0
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 5, 2023) – The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team hosted USA South foe Brevard and came away with a 9-0 sweep of the Tornados on a warm Tuesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
The homestanding Falcons won all three doubles matches to start off the day.
The No. 1 team of
Michael Haranczyk and
Dylan Masters finished first while dispatching their Brevard opponents by an 8-2 final.
Benedikt Pfeiffer and
Aleix Garrido took care of the No. 2 match by winning 8-3 while the No. 3 due of
Mateo Sonaglia and
Andres Valdez-Arze also won by an 8-3 score.
In singles play, Masters won in straight sets at No. 1 over Bryce Bennet 6-0, 6-0. Harancyk, (No. 3) Sonaglia (No. 5) and
Bogdan Stan (No. 6) also won their matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores.
At No 2, Pfeiffer took care of Ethan McGee 6-2, 6-1 and Valdez-Arze won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4, providing the 9-0 sweep.
BACK ON COURT
Former USA South member and current ODAC opponent Averett will visit the Knapp Tennis Center and the Falcons on Thursday, April 13 for a nonconference match. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
