Women's Tennis Drops Close 5-4 Match to Brevard

Misenheimer, N.C. (April 5, 2023)– Visiting Brevard College took a close 5-4 USA South women's tennis win over Pfeiffer University on a warm Tuesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center in Misenheimer, N.C.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer took just one of the three doubles matches, with Megan Rekieta (Lubbock, Texas) and Alison Sloop (Rockwell, N.C.) taking an 8-4 win over Brevard's Hannah Hersh and Alli Jogoy at the No. 1 position.

In singles, the Falcons won three matches, with Sloop taking her No. 4 match by a 6-2, 6-2 scored over Sophia Trantham.  Freshman Riley Isley (China Grove, N.C.) won her No. 3 match, 5-7, 6-0, 6-0 and Delaney Geyghan (Monroe, N.C.) won the No. 6 match 4-6, 6-4, 1-0.

BACK ON COURT
Pfeiffer will make the quick turnaround, as they will host N.C. Wesleyan in another USA South match on Wednesday afternoon, April 5 at 5:00 p.m.
