Pfeiffer Men's Lacrosse to Meet Centre College in First Round of NCAA Tournament
Misenheimer, N.C. (May 7, 2021) – The Pfeiffer University men's lacrosse team, fresh off their second USA South Tournament Championship, will travel to Danville, Ky. to take on Centre College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament on Wednesday, May 10. The gametime is still to be determined.
The Falcons (16-1) and Centre (12-3) met earlier this season on March 23 with the Falcons taking a 14-13 win over the Colonels at Lefko Field in Misenheimer.
Since the setback to the Falcons, Centre has reeled off a 7-1 record, with their only loss coming in a 16-14 home game to Birmingham-Southern. All told, the Colonels are in the midst of a six-game winning streak.
Centre won the SAA Tournament by downing Birmingham-Southern 17-16 on April 28 and followed that with a 10-9 win over Sewanee in the SAA Championship Game on April 30.
The NCAA will release ticket information for the upcoming NCAA Tournament in the coming days.
