Greensboro, N.C. (Sept. 21, 2023) --The Pfeiffer University volleyball team fell to the Greensboro Pride in three sets (19-25, 16-25, 11-25) Thursday on the road at Hanes Gymnasium in a USA South match.
The loss dropped Pfeiffer's record to 4-5 overall and 0-4 in USA South play.
Morgan Shrader (Matthews, N.C.) finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Falcons attack. got nine digs from Gabby Edwards (Catawba, N.C.) to lead Pfeiffer defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Falcons fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-19. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as nine points as Greensboro never surrendered the lead in a set that was notted up zero times before the Pride took control.
SET 2 | Pfeiffer lost the second set 25-16, digging a 2-0 deficit in the match. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as nine points as Greensboro grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up three times before the Pride took over the lead.
SET 3 | Pfeiffer was not able to win set three and was swept by Greensboro. The Falcons fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-11.
