Greensboro, N.C. (Oct. 12, 2024) -- The Pfeiffer University men's soccer team held rival Greensboro scoreless and cruised to a 4-0 shutout win on Saturday at Pride Field in Greensboro
Pfeiffer improved to 4-5-3 overall and 1-2-1 in USA South play following the win, while Greensboro dipped to 2-10-2 overall and 0-2-1in conference matches.
How it Happened
Pfeiffer opened the scoring when junior Jacob Rocha scored his first goal of the season in the 35th minute.
The Falcons extended their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Wesley Hooker -- his second goal of the season -- in the 47th minute, assisted by Sami Elhani.
Pfeiffer made it a 3-0 advantage on Jonathan Hansen's 51st-minute goal, which is his first collegiate score.
The Falcons made it a 4-0 lead with an 87th-minute goal from Nico Cantini, also his first career goal. Caleb Yopp assisted the goal, which is his second helper of the year.
