Cary, N.C. (Oct. 22, 2024) -- The Pfeiffer University women's soccer team fell 4-1 on the road to William Peace at the WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
Pfeiffer dropped to 3-10 overall and 1-6 in USA South action after the loss.
How it Happened
William Peace broke the scoreless tie when Lyndsey Knox scored in the ninth minute on an assist by Emma Avery.
The Pacers extended their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Avery in the 26th minute, assisted by Dayna Kenworthy.
Pfeiffer closed the gap to 2-1 when sophomore Khamani Spencer netted her sixth score of the season in the 38th-minute. Jadelyn Taylor assisted on Spencer's goal.
The Pacers took a 3-1 lead with a 76th-minute goal from Mia Rumachik, assisted by Kerlyn Navarrete Trejos and extended its advantage to 4-1 on Kerlyn Navarrete Trejos' goal in the 85th minute, assisted by Cate Czyzewski.
Pfeiffer junior goalkeeper Kaylee Ollis piled up six saves for the Falcons while seeing 17 total Pacers shots.
