MIsenheimer, N.C. (Oct. 29, 2024) --The Pfeiffer volleyball team dropped a four set (13-25, 14-25, 25-17, 8-25) match to visiting Methodist at Merner Gym on Tuesday evening.
The loss dropped Pfeiffer's record to 5-20 overall and 2-12 in USA South action while Methodist improves to 20-4 and 11-3 in conference play.
Junior Haedyn McGrath led the Falcons, as she finished with eight kills on the match with a hitting percentage of .300. Defensively, Pfeiffer got 18 digs from junior Gabby Edwards.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Falcons found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-13. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as 13 points as Methodist never gave up the lead in a set that was notted up just once before the Monarchs took control.
SET 2 | A 25-14 set-two loss put Pfeiffer in a 2-0 hole in the match. The Falcons lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Pfeiffer got on the board with a win in set three to make it a 2-1 match. The Falcons scored first and never trailed in the set to earn a 25-17 victory. Pfeiffer ended on a high note, claiming its biggest lead, eight points, to finish off the set. Pfeiffer's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking five Methodist attacks in the stanza.
SET 4 | Pfeiffer couldn't keep the rally going and lost in the fourth set 25-8 to drop the match. The Falcons lost the first point and never clawed back into the lead before losing the set.
