Buies Creek, N.C. (Nov. 4, 2024) --The Pfeiffer men's basketball team kept Campbell to just 17.6 percent from beyond the arc in a 3-for-17 shooting performance, but fell 96-49 to the Fighting Camels in a road exhibition game on Monday night.
Senior Jaylen Hamilton led the Falcons with two points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals while Donte Forrester-Jhagroo and Brandon Alfonse each added six points off of the bench.
Pfeiffer did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 14 boards that resulted in nine second chance points.
The Pfeiffer defense was effective at taking away the basketball in Monday's game, forcing 13 Campbell turnovers. Hamilton's two steals led the way individually for the Falcons.
How It Happened
After trailing 44-24 at halftime, Campbell kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 62-29 advantage before Pfeiffer went on a 5-0 run to shrink the deficit to 62-34 with 11:14 to go in the game. Campbell responded and outscored the Falcons the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 96-49. Pfeiffer shot well from three-point range in the half, hitting four shots from deep to score 12 of its 25 points.
