Misenheimer, N.C. (Nov. 5, 2024) --Visiting Brevard College took a four set (14-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-25) win over Pfeiffer University in a USA South volleyball match on Senior Night at Merner Gym.
The loss dropped Pfeiffer's record to 5-24 overall and 2-15 in USA South action.
Madison Tate finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Falcons attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .294. got 12 digs from Gabby Edwards to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Falcons found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-14. Pfeiffer trailed by as many as 15 points as Brevard never gave up the lead in a set that was tied up zero times before the Tornados took control.
SET 2 | Pfeiffer fired back from a first-set loss to take the second set 25-17, evening the match at one set apiece. The Falcons led from the first point on in the set to secure the victory. Pfeiffer opened its biggest lead of the stanza, eight points, to finish off the set.
SET 3 | Pfeiffer fell in the third set, putting the Falcons in a 2-1 hole. The Falcons came up short by the score of 25-22. Brevard grabbed the advantage for good at 13-12 in a set that was tied up three times before the Tornados took over the lead.
SET 4 | Pfeiffer then dropped the fourth set 25-15 to finish off the match. The Falcons dropped the first point and never clawed back into the lead before falling in the set.
