Rome, Ga. (Dec. 6, 2024) --Senior Daymon Beckwith and junior Alex Cunningham both scored 21 points, but the Pfeiffer men's basketball team fell to the Berry Vikings 104-80 on the road Friday.
Beckwith and Cunningham's stellar scoring performances led the Falcons (2-4) in the contest. Justin Gaten also chipped in with 12 points.
How It Happened
After falling behind 47-33, Pfeiffer went on a 5-0 run with 1:45 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Gaten, to narrow its deficit to 47-38 which was the halftime score.
Berry kept widening its lead in the second half, constructing an 83-66 advantage before Pfeiffer went on a 5-0 run, finished off by Cunningham's jumper, to shrink the deficit to 83-71 with 6:52 to go in the contest.
That was the closest that Pfeiffer would get, as Berry took the game with a final score of 104-80.
