Virginia Wesleyan Takes Men's Tennis Win Over Pfeiffer, 5-2
Misenheimer, N.C. (Feb. 17, 2024)– Visiting Virginia Wesleyan University picked up a 5-2 nonconference men's tennis win over Pfeiffer University on Saturday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Visting VWU captured the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. In singles play, Pfeiffer's
Mateo Sonaglia and
Dylan Masters each recorded wins.
Sonaglia won his match at No. 4 singles over VWU's Alen Curovic in a three-set marathon, 1-6, 7-6, 1-0. Sonaglia would take his third-set tiebreaker by a 10-7 score.
Masters would also win his match at No. 5 in three-sets over Tudor Vlad, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 with the tiebreaker won 13-11 by Masters to clinch his match.
BACK ON COURT
The Falcons will return to play on Tuesday, Feb. 20 with an exhibition match against Belmont Abbey at 3:00 p.m. at the Knapp Tennis Center.
