Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Downs Brevard, 8-1
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 1, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team extended their USA South winning streak to three matches and their overall streak to five-straight after an 8-1 home win over Brevard College on a warm Monday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer started the day with three straight wins in doubles competition. Dylan masters and
Andres Valdez-Arze started off with an 8-1 win at No. 2 followed by an 8-2 win at No. 3 from Laurin Bauer and
Bogdan Stan. Pfeiffer closed doubles play at No. 1 with an 8-5 win from
Benedikt Pfeiffer and
Mathius Dessureau.
In singles matches, the fourth Falcon point was secured by Valdez-Arze in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4.Â
Bogdan Stan would secure the team win for the Falcons with his 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 6.
Dylan Masters (No. 3),
Mateo Sonaglia (No. 5) and Dessurean (No. 2) also won their respective singles matches in straight sets to provide the 8-1 final.
Brevard gained it's lone point at No. 1 singles, as Hayden LeBlanc outlasted
Benedikt Pfeiffer, 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) in a match that lasted over two hours.
The Next Match
Pfeiffer will hit the road for two nonconference matches this upcoming weekend when they travel to Mary Washington on Saturday and will follow with a Sunday match at Radolph-Macon.
