Pfeiffer Men's Tennis Closes Regular Season With 9-0 Win at WPU
Raleigh, N.C. (April 21, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University men's tennis team took a 9-0 sweep over William Peace University in the USA South regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.

Pfeiffer – 12-4, 5-1 USA South
William Peace – 2-10, 1-5 USA South
THE BASICS
Pfeiffer opened the day with three decisive wins in doubles play, winning each match by 8-0 scores.
In singles play, Pfeiffer took all six matches, with
Mikael Aune winning his No. 6 match by 6-0, 6-0 scores followed by
Clay Patton's win at No. 5, also by  a 6-0, 6-0 final.
Freshman
Jayden Wellman won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 as did
Dylan Masters in the No. 4 match.
Mathius Dessureau took his No. 2 match by a 6-1, 6-3 score while
Benedikt Pfeiffer won his No. 1 match by a 7-5, 6-3 final.
The Next Match
With the regular season complete, Pfeiffer has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming USA South Tournament.
The Falcons will take on the winner of the match between the No. 3 seed Methodist and the No. 6 seed William Peace in the semifinals on Friday, April 26 in Rocky Mount, N.C. on the campus of North Carolina Wesleyan.
