Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Falls to N.C. Wesleyan at USA South Tournament
Rocky Mount, N.C. (April 26, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to top-seeded N.C. Wesleyan in the semifinals of the USA South Tournament on Friday at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
The No. 1 seeded Bishops swept all five contested matches, including three doubles matches.
N.C. Wesleyan started the day with an 8-3 win at No. 2 doubles then followed with an 8-6 win at No. 3.
Pfeiffer's
Caimbree Gann and
Megan Rekieta dropped a close 8-7 (7-4) decision at No. 1 doubles to five NCWU the 3-0 advantage.
The Bishops then wrapped up the match with wins at the No. 5 and No. 6 matches. In the No. 5 match, Pfeiffer's
Alison Sloop fell by a 6-1, 6-0 score to Ivanna Torres. Pfeiffer's
Kristen Colie then dropped her No. 6 matchn to Ajila Sellmovic by a 6-2, 6-1 score
With the setback, Pfeiffer completes their season with a 15-4 overall record.
