BREVARD, N.C. (April 27, 2024( --Junior Emma Bullin racked up four hits to help propel the Pfeiffer Falcons over the Brevard Tornados 10-1 on Saturday in game one of a USA South doublehaeder
Kali Morton (18-1) got the win for No. 11 Pfeiffer (37-2, 15-2). The right-hander went four shutout innings, giving up one hit, one walk and striking out seven Tornado batters.
In addition to her four hits, Bullin had a double and an RBI to lead the Falcons. Gracie Griffin put together a standout day at the dish as well, going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI. Alyssa Broaddus also chipped in for Pfeiffer, putting together two hits in four trips to the plate while adding an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. Pfeiffer got an RBI single from A. Yarboro, scoring M. Varner from second base.
The Tornados failed to push any runs across before the Falcons offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. Pfeiffer scored twice on Griffin's two-run homer, which brought the Falcons lead to 3-0.
Pfeiffer kept Brevard scoreless before expanding their lead to 6-0 the following inning.

Brevard put one run on the scoreboard before the game was over, but the Falcons still coasted to the 10-1 win.

In game two, Morton was dealing again, throwing a one-hit shutout to lead the Falcons past the Brevard Tornados 8-0 in another five-inning game
Morton (19-1) went the distance for Pfeiffer (38-2, 16-2), giving up one hit, walking two and striking out 10.
Offensively, the Falcons were paced by Alyssa Broaddus, who went 2-for-2 on the day with a double and three RBI. Gracie Griffin put together a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-for-2 with a home run, her second of the day, a walk and an RBI. Emma Chopko also contributed for Pfeiffer, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding a double and an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Chopko's run-scoring single highlighted a two-run inning for Pfeiffer.
The Falcons then tacked on runs in the second and third innings, with their biggest output coming in the third when they scored three times.

With the regular season complete, Pfeiffer has claimed the USA South Regular Season Championship and has earned the top-seed in the upcoming USA South Softball Tournament.
Pfeiffer will host Bracket One of the Tournament at Jack Ingram Field, with the first games beginning on Thursday, May 2.
