Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Blows By Brevard, 7-2
Misenheimer, N.C. (April 3, 2024)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team secured a 7-2 USA South win over visiting Brevard College on Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

THE BASICS
Pfeiffer took control early in the match as the Falcons won two of the three contested doubles matches. Play started with
Megan Rekieta and
Caimbree Gann taking an 8-3 win at the No. 1 doubles position.Â
Kristen Colie and
Haley Ingenito would push the score to 2-0 after an 8-3 win at No. 3.
Brevard would get on the board with an 8-6 win at No. 2.
In singles play,
Riley Isley would win her No. 4 match by a 6-0, 6-1 score to put the Falcons ahead 3-1. Ingenito would win her No. 3 match in convincing fashion, 6-1, 6-1 and
Kristen Colie would secure the match win after winning her No. 6 match by a 6-3, 6-4 final.
Rekieta then took her No. 2 match by a 6-4, 6-3 count to make it 6-1.
After Brevard captured the No. 1 doubles, point,
Alison Sloop battled back from being down a set to take her No. 5 match 0-6, 6-3, 7-5, giving Pfeiffer the 7-2 dual win.

Pfeiffer return to play on Wednesday, April 10 with a home USA South match against Meredith College at 3:00 p.m.
