Falcon Women's Cross Country Claims Second at Pfeiffer Invitational
Misenheimer, N.C. (Sept. 14, 2024) – Sophomore
Makayla Borst was the top Pfeiffer finisher, helping the Falcon women's cross country team to a second place finish at the Pfeiffer Invitational on Saturday morning on the Pfeiffer Cross Country Course in Misenheimer.
Pfeiffer had three runners place in the top-15 of the event, which featured 75 runners.
Borst completed the 5000 meter course with a time of 20:57.4, edging teammate and fellow sophomore
Maddie Hladik, who finished in 10th-place with a 21:03.0. Freshman
Ryan Germain came in 11th with a 21:07.7
As a team, Pfeiffer finished second behind Division II Fayetteville State, while Roanoke claimed third place.
Shaw's Sharon Ngetich took individual honors, as she ran a 19:42.9.

Pfeiffer will return to race on Oct. 6 when they travel to Bethlehem, Pa to take part in the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.
