Greensboro, N.C. (Sept. 28, 2024) -- The Pfeiffer women's soccer team fell to Greensboro 5-1 Saturday (Sept. 28) on the road at Pride Field.
Pfeiffer dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-1 in USA South action following the setback.
How it Happened
Greensboro opened the scoring when Cassidy Olszewski scored in the ninth minute, assisted by Emily Walsh.
The Pride took a 2-0 lead on a goal from Shae Brennan in the 16th minute, assisted by Walsh.
Greensboro built its lead to 3-0 on Amery Skinner's 19th-minute goal, assisted by Mallory Carter.
The Pride kept Pfeiffer off the board and grabbed a 4-0 lead with a 52nd-minute goal from Hannah Mccarthy.
Pfeiffer closed the gap on Greensboro to make it a 4-1 game on sophomore Victoria Tita's second goal of the season in the 53rd minute.
thanks to a 53rd-minute goal from Skinner, assisted by Hannah McCarthy. The 5-1 held to the end.
