Pfeiffer Men's Soccer Downs Rival Greensboro 3-1 to Remain Undefeated
MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Oct. 11, 2025) — Pfeiffer University extended its unbeaten streak to 12 matches with a 3-1 victory over Greensboro College in a USA South men's soccer clash on a chilly Saturday evening at Lefko-Mills Field.
The Falcons (9-0-3, 2-0-2 USA South) overcame an early deficit after Greensboro's Jade Diane opened the scoring in the 13th minute off an assist from Sergio Garcia-Barrios. Pfeiffer responded with a penalty kick goal from
Alex Michael in the 22nd minute, leveling the match at 1-1.
Benji Landaverde proved to be the difference-maker, netting a brace with goals in the 45th and 83rd minutes. His first came just before halftime, assisted by
Jacob Rocha, while his second was set up by
Wesley Hooker to seal the win.
Pfeiffer dominated the offensive stats, outshooting Greensboro 18-9 and placing eight shots on frame. Michael led the team with three shots, including two on target, while Landaverde tallied four shots and three on frame.

Seth Limbert made two saves and allowed just one goal in 90 minutes of action to earn the win.
The Falcons will step out of conference on Wednesday, Oct. 15 as they host Warren Wilson at 6:00 p.m. at Lefko-Mills Field.
