Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Sweeps Agnes Scott to Stay Perfect
DECATUR, Ga. (Oct. 22, 2025) — Pfeiffer University remained undefeated on the season with a commanding 7-0 road victory over Agnes Scott College in a nonconference match on Wednesday afternoon at Byers Tennis Courts.
The Falcons (4-0) dominated both singles and doubles play, winning all nine matches without dropping a set. The win marked Pfeiffer's fourth straight sweep to open the season.
In singles action,
Haley Ingenito led the charge at the No. 1 spot, defeating Taylor Hendley 6-0, 6-0.
Fanny Apostolou followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Kennadi Reese at No. 2 singles, while
Sydney Cohen cruised past Katherine Cox 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3.
Gracie Spangler,
Riley Isley, and
Claire Germain each posted straight-set victories to complete the singles sweep.
Pfeiffer's doubles teams were equally dominant. Ingenito and Apostolou teamed up for a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles, while Cohen and Isley took the No. 2 match 6-0.
Kristen Colie and Spangler closed out the doubles competition with a 6-0 win at No. 3.
Agnes Scott (0-1) struggled to gain momentum in its season opener, failing to secure a set in any of the matches.
Pfeiffer will continue play with a 2:00 p.m. nonconference match at Meredith on Tuesday, Oct. 28 in Raleigh, N.C.Â
