Ava Hairston and junior
Lettie Michael in a 76-53 blowout USA South win over Salem College on Tuesday evening in Merner Gym.
Ava Hairston led Pfeiffer with 24 points, six rebounds, and six assists, hitting 9 of 14 shots and two 3-pointers.
Lettie Michael added 21 points, including six 3-pointers, and five steals.
Lola Cabaniss-Ali chipped in 11 points and five rebounds, while
Nyree Bell contributed seven points and five boards.
The Falcons shot 46 percent from the field and 44 percent from beyond the arc, finishing 16 of 23 at the free-throw line. Pfeiffer also tallied 17 assists and 15 steals.
Salem (1-2, 0-1 USA South) was paced by
Nicole Hester, who scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Amy Velediaz-Pedroza added 11 points, and Triana Smallwood had eight.
