MISENHEIMER, N.C. (Nov. 9, 2025) — Ava Hairston scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead Pfeiffer University past Warren Wilson, 62–50, in the Falcons' season opener Sunday afternoon at Merner Gym.

Hairston shot 5-of-11 from the field and added six free throws, helping Pfeiffer (1–0) build an early lead and maintain control throughout the game. Nyree Bell contributed 11 points and seven rebounds, while Lettie Michael added six points and four blocks, including two three-pointers.

Pfeiffer led 36–26 at halftime and held off a late push from Warren Wilson (0–1), who was paced by Ori Galloway's game-high 17 points and five steals. Tatyana Lewis posted a double-double for the Owls with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Falcons dominated the glass, outrebounding Warren Wilson 50–43, and recorded 11 assists and 11 steals. Pfeiffer's defense forced 22 turnovers and blocked seven shots, stifling the Owls' offense, which shot just 25.8% from the field.

Warren Wilson struggled from beyond the arc, missing all seven of its three-point attempts, while Pfeiffer connected on four of 17. The Falcons also capitalized on fast-break opportunities, scoring 17 points in transition.

Pfeiffer returns to action next week as they continue non-conference play, travelling to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Johnson & Wales on Wednesday, Nov. 12. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
