Pfeiffer Women's Tennis Falls to No. 10 Washington & Lee
Lexington, Va. (Feb. 24, 2026)– The Pfeiffer University women's tennis team opened the 2025 spring season on Monday, falling on the road to No. 10 Washington & Lee by a 7-0 final.

THE BASICS
Washington & Lee opened up a 1-0 lead by sweeping all three doubles matches.Â
Fanny Apostolou and
Megan Rekieta dropped their match at No. 1 by a 6-3 score. WLU also took the No. 2 match 6-0 and the No. 3 match by a 6-1 score.
In singles play, WLU swept all six matches, with Rekieta falling in one of the most competitive of the afternoon by a 6-3, 6-4 score.
Riley Isley finished her No. 5 match, falling to WLU's Jordan Kach by a 7-5, 6-0 score. WLU won both the No. 2 and No.6 matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores while Apostolou came up short in her No. 4 match by a 6-1, 6-1 final.
The Next Match
The Falcons will return to the Knapp Tennis Center for their USA South opener on Thursday, Feb.27 when they take on N.C. Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m.as part of a doubleheader with the Pfeiffer men's team.
